Summer Camps and Seasonal Workshops
Our Summer Camps are an opportunity for your children to learn about science in a fun, friendly and safe environment. Children of national school age are very welcome.
Summer Camps are run annually in Carrigaline and Douglas. 2013 Summer Camps will be announced shortly.
Science Programmes for Schools
A science education is essential for all children. We can provide, and have provided, after school science programmes tailored to the needs of individual national schools and relevant to the national curriculum.
In 2012, Mad About Science received an RDS Science Bursary and conducted science demonstrations and classes in Dublin and three national schools in Country Cork.
Public Demonstrations and Outreach
We regularly run free public science demonstrations in libraries and also the Lifetime Lab. We recently did a very successful public science demonstration in Merchants Quay Shopping Centre, Cork.
Mad About Science is an active participant in Science Week and Heritage Week.
We expect to run more public demonstrations in 2013.
